This piece brings together two of the most beloved stones in the crystal world - ethically sourced Larimar from the Dominican Republic and a deeply luminous Rainbow Moonstone - held within an elaborate handwoven setting that crowns them with a form the wearer may read as wings, or leaves, or something entirely their own. That openness is intentional. These pieces are made to meet the person who finds them.
Larimar exists in only one place on Earth - a single mountain in the Caribbean - and I have been sourcing it directly and ethically since 2012. For most of those years only smaller pieces were available. These larger cabochons have only begun to emerge in the past couple of years, and working with them has been a genuine joy.
The Rainbow Moonstone below it is exceptional. Photographs simply cannot capture what this stone does in person — it is a deep, pearlescent glistener, throwing light in ways that shift with every movement. Smooth cabochon, milky white ground, with a violet and blue flash that moves like something alive beneath the surface.
Larimar carries the frequency of the ocean. Known as the Dolphin Stone, it holds the natural playfulness, joy, and uninhibited aliveness that dolphins embody so effortlessly. It resonates with the song lines of the sea - those deep, invisible currents of sound and memory that move through water and through us - connecting the wearer to the water element and the wisdom of the water goddess.
It is a stone of the divine feminine, gently awakening the goddess within or restoring balance where the feminine and masculine have fallen out of harmony.

This is a single, one-of-a-kind piece. Once it finds its person, it is gone.
Handwoven in two cords: Cor 26 matte brown Linhasita forms the dominant structure, with Cor 879 toasted sand - my most-used cord across 14 years of micromacramé - framing each stone in warmth. Both are 0.5mm Linhasita, 100% waxed polyester from Brazil. Waterproof, fade-resistant, and colour-stable.
The necklace strap is a 4-strand diamond braid, adjustable to 74cm (approximately 29 inches), with a macramé slider and fancy end closure.
This piece took approximately 5 hours to create, handmade with love in Whitianga, New Zealand.
